Zach Rooney is headed to Florida to represent the Rebel's in the prospect tournament!

Today Sunset Lake 5th grader Zachary Rooney got a surprise from TH Plastics, Inc.

Zachary plays baseball for the Kalamazoo Rebels and was one of just 2 students from our area selected to play at a prospect tournament in Florida. He’s been fundraising by recycling cans and raking leaves for the last few weeks and recently gave a presentation, all on his own, to TH Plastics about why they should sponsor his trip.

Zachary used his Leader in Me skills developed at Sunset Lake to write and deliver the presentation. Today he learned his presentation was successful!

When Zachary returns from the trip, he will write and present a report about what he learned from the experience to the company and his class. Congrats Zachary!
